Month in ReviewThe story of this month, grounded in the data

August 2026 was a strong month for FoxFlame on Amazon. Revenue grew 12.8% month-over-month to $89,345.99, the highest the account has recorded, driven by the Solar Torch family and a further 27.1% increase in advertising that returned 39.7% more ad revenue at a better rate. Net profit reached $3,874.11, up 123.2% from July, with blended ACoS improving from 34.57% to 31.45% and ROAS from 2.89 to 3.18. Buy Box held at 99.58% across the active listings.

The primary challenge was stock. Third-party logistics delays meant replenishment did not reach FBA on schedule, so seven SKUs finished the month under 30 days of supply and five finished at zero sellable units. Both sales and the bottom line would have been materially higher had that stock landed on time. New stock is expected mid-September and the new warehouse agreed with Chris comes online at the same time, which ends the 3PL dependency structurally. September will be slower on thin stock, with the account positioned to enter Q4 fully stocked on a better process.

▲ WHAT DROVE GROWTH
Advertising got cheaper per dollar of revenue while scaling.
Spend rose 27.1% to $18,071.16 and returned $57,462.43 in ad sales, 39.7% more than July, at 31.45% ACoS against 34.57%. Ad orders rose 26.3% to 1,181 and ad conversion improved to 5.98%. The Branded portfolio ran at 18.14% ACoS on $20,080.31 of sales, and the Torches portfolio scaled spend 111% while holding 34.13%. The Solar Torch family carried the month at $41,990.91, 47% of revenue, at a 12.12% margin.
▼ WHAT HELD THE MONTH BACK
3PL delays put multiple lines out of stock mid-month.
Five SKUs finished August at zero sellable units and seven sit under 30 days of supply. The E12 flame bulbs are the sharpest loss: FFCLB1_4pk at zero against 15.4 units per day and FFCLB1_2pk holding only reserved stock against 6.1 units per day. The bulb family as a whole finished at -0.50% margin. Conversion also fell from 7.30% to 6.56% while sessions grew 20.2%, consistent with traffic landing on listings that could not fulfil. Refund rate rose to 8.26% from 7.93%.
▶ WHAT TO WATCH IN SEPTEMBER
A deliberately slower month, then a fully stocked Q4.
Organic revenue fell 16.3% to $31,883.56 and organic share is now 35.7%, down from 48.1% in July. Two consecutive months of paid-led growth need to convert into organic rank, and that conversion needs stock on the shelf. New inventory is expected mid-September, when the new warehouse also comes online and removes the 3PL dependency. Expect September revenue to step back on thin stock; the measure of success is whether organic share recovers and whether the account enters October fully replenished with 3,880 units of inbound landed.

Cost WaterfallHow gross sales flow down to net profit
Every cost line moved in the right direction relative to revenue. Amazon fees fell in absolute terms to $29,699.83 from $30,040.05 despite 8.1% more units, taking fees from 37.9% of sales to 33.2%. Promotional spend dropped to $485.07 from $1,243.76. Cost of goods rose to $28,835.69, tracking volume at 32.3% of sales against 30.5% in July, a mix effect from the higher share of torch and lantern units. Advertising is the one line that grew as a share of revenue, to 20.2% from 17.9%, and it bought 39.7% more ad revenue at a lower ACoS. Refund cost rose to $4,193.21. Two indirect expense lines sit below gross profit: 3PL Cost at 2% of sales ($1,786.92), new from August, and Misc MGT Cost ($2,400.00). SellerBoard gross profit is $8,061.03 and the waterfall lands on $3,874.11 after both. The waterfall balances to the cent with no plug row.

This is the month the advertising programme started paying for itself. Spend rose 27.1% to $18,071.16 and generated $57,462.43 in ad sales, up 39.7%, at a blended 31.45% ACoS against 34.57% in July. ROAS improved from 2.89 to 3.18. Impressions grew 8.5% to 2,368,812 and clicks 21.1% to 19,746, with CPC rising only 5.0% to $0.92. TACoS is 20.23%, still above the 12% target and still deliberate. 11 of the 13 portfolios ran under 50% ACoS. Branded (Brand Defense) is the standout at 18.14% on $20,080.31 of sales. FSST4 (Path Torch Elite) at 77.07% and FFSHL1 (Schoolhouse) at 61.51% are the two portfolios that need restructuring rather than more budget.

URGENT

Fix the 3PL process and complete the warehouse cutover

3PL delays kept replenishment from reaching FBA in August, which put five SKUs at zero and seven under 30 days of supply. New stock is due mid-September and the new warehouse goes live at the same time. Treat the cutover date as a hard commitment, track check-in dates daily until it lands, and agree a fallback with Chris if it slips.

▶ Zeeshan + Chris
HIGH

Upload the improved main images

The improved images are ready and the listings are still running the old set. Get them live across the hero listings before the stock wave lands, so the September traffic arrives on the better creative rather than after it.

▶ Brand Team
HIGH

Continue A/B testing on main images

Keep the Manage Your Experiments tests running on the main images and let each one reach significance before calling it. Conversion is the lever that is not dependent on stock or ad spend, and unit session percentage fell from 7.30% to 6.56% this month.

▶ Brand Team
HIGH

Restructure the two portfolios and two families that are losing money

FSST4 ran at 77.07% ACoS and FFSHL1 at 61.51%, together consuming $757.96. At family level the 2.0 Lantern line finished at -3.33% margin and Solar String Lights at -12.43%, having absorbed $4,343.58 of advertising between them. Decide for each whether it is a pricing, listing or product-market problem, then fix the cause or cut spend to a defensive floor. Do not carry them into Q4 unchanged.

▶ PPC Team
MEDIUM

Prepare the Q4 plan on a fully stocked assumption

September will be slower on thin stock, with Q4 run from the new warehouse. Build the forecast against the August run rate of $89,345.99 and a 4.34% margin, identify the peak-season cover each hero SKU needs by mid-October, and place those orders against the new warehouse lead times rather than the old 3PL ones.
