Month in ReviewThe story of this month, grounded in the data

July 2026 was a strong absolute month for FoxFlame on Amazon, though the margin story shifted. Revenue grew 2.0% month-over-month to $79,466, the sixth consecutive growth month, with unit sales up 20.9% to 2,103 and sessions up 14.3% to 28,696. The margin story is intentional: ad spend more than doubled to $14,224 (+111% vs June) as the team scaled paid campaigns and launched new keyword coverage to drive organic ranking ahead of the new stock wave arriving end of month. Net profit landed at $1,736 after $1,589 of 3PL cost and $2,400 of Misc MGT Cost, at a 2.18% margin.

The narrative Chris and the FoxFlame team should hear: this is a planned reinvestment month. Previous months (April to June) ran with minimal ranking effort because the priority was receiving inventory and selling it out; that produced clean margins but under-invested in future organic rank. July flipped that: TACoS climbed to 17.90% (above the 12% target) by design, ad-attributed sales grew to 56.6% of revenue, and the ranking effect will compound over several weeks. Sales could have been 5-10% higher this month except for stock-outs on mid- and late-month bestsellers; the new warehouse Chris is implementing is the structural fix for that pacing gap.

β–² WHAT DROVE GROWTH
Ranking push landed volume: units +20.9%, sessions +14.3%.
The scaled paid ads program delivered 2,103 units (up from 1,739) and 28,696 sessions (up from 25,100), with unit session conversion holding at 7.33%. Ad-attributed sales grew to $44,934, 56.6% of Amazon revenue, on 17,205 clicks at $0.83 CPC. Buy Box weighted stayed strong at 98.93% across seven parent listings, and refund rate improved to 5.9% from 7.2% in June. The E12 Flame Bulb family (CLB) delivered $6,346 at an 18.86% margin and only 4.08% real ACoS, showing what the top-of-funnel effort produces when organic rank has caught up.
β–Ό WHAT COMPRESSED MARGIN
Ad spend more than doubled to fund ranking, plus operations one-offs.
Ad spend went from $6,747 to $14,224 (+111%) as new campaigns launched and existing portfolios scaled bids for organic ranking effect; this is planned. Blended ACoS rose to 31.65% from 16.66% and TACoS to 17.90% from 8.66%, both above the 12% target by intent. Two non-strategic hits also cost margin: a $1,289 Compensated clawback (vs +$56 in June) and FBA inbound convenience fees more than doubled to $1,855. Mid-month and end-month stock-outs on best-sellers cost an estimated 5-10% of potential top line; the new warehouse Chris is implementing addresses the pacing gap.
β–Ά WHAT TO WATCH IN AUGUST
Ranking payoff timing and the end-of-August stock wave.
Paid ad ranking effect typically compounds over 3 to 6 weeks: expect organic sessions and organic conversion to reflect the July push starting mid-August, with margin recovery through September. New stock arrives end of August, resolving the mid/late-month stock-out pattern. On the brand-protection front, a hijackers audit is in progress on Amazon.de listings (Metal Solar Torch showing 8 unauthorized sellers, Metal Solar Lantern showing 2, mostly Turkey-origin counterfeits); the standalone audit will drive removal actions once the full EU/UK scan completes. Continue the ranking push through August; scale back to target TACoS in September once the ranking gains stabilize.

July Performance in ContextTrailing months at a glance
Six consecutive growth months: $16.1K in February to $79.5K in July. Sales continued to climb but the profit line flipped this month as the ranking-push strategy went live: ad spend more than doubled to reach $14,224, dropping net profit from $14.4K to $1.7K. This is a planned reinvestment cycle; expect margin recovery through August-September as the paid ranking work converts to organic gains and the new stock wave lands.

Cost WaterfallHow gross sales flow down to net profit
Ad spend more than doubled to $14,225 (17.9% of gross) as the ranking scale-up went live, and Amazon fees rose to $30,029 (37.8%) driven by higher unit volume plus a $2,519 inbound transportation line ($666 higher than June as the end-of-August stock wave loaded). Two non-strategic operations hits are visible: a $1,289 Compensated clawback (June was +$56) and FBA inbound convenience fees more than doubling to $1,855. Cost of goods stayed flat at $24,239 despite +21% units, reflecting favorable per-unit cost. Two indirect expense lines sit below gross profit: 3PL Cost at 2% of sales ($1,589) and Misc MGT Cost ($2,400). SellerBoard gross profit is $5,724 and the waterfall lands on $1,736 after both.
Note on the June comparison: June's bottom line carried a single indirect expense of $1,500. July's carries two: a new 3PL Cost of $1,589, and Misc MGT Cost at $2,400, up from $1,500. That is $2,489 of cost below gross profit that June did not carry, and it accounts for roughly a fifth of the $12,694 fall in net profit. The larger share is operational and deliberate: ad spend rose $7,478 as the ranking scale-up went live.

The SellerBoard tile Net Profit lands $1,889 lower ($5,724) due to account-level adjustments (subscription, clawbacks, LTSF) that do not allocate down to individual children. Traffic and Sales AttributionOrganic vs paid
Organic share slipped to 43.5% of revenue from 48.0% in June as the paid ranking push flooded the ad slots, delivering more clicks to more listings. This is expected during a ranking-scale month: paid share climbs first, then organic follows as the campaigns build rank on the target keywords. PPC contributed 56.5% ($44,934) at a 3.16 ROAS. Watch organic share climbing back through August-September as the ranking effect converts to durable organic rank; that's when the ad spend produces its lasting return.

Inventory HealthException report: SKUs under 30 days of supply
Seven SKUs sit under 30 days of supply. Two flame-bulb SKUs are already effectively out (FFCLB1_4pk at 0 days on the E12 line, FFMLB1_2PK at 1.1 days on the E26 line), and FFCLB1_2pk is at 1.3 days. All have replenishment inbound as part of the end-of-August stock wave, so the risk is receive timing rather than missing orders. Chris flagged that the existing warehouse setup is running slow on the workload; the new warehouse he's implementing is the structural fix for the pacing gap that produced these late-month stock-outs. Summary: Clean sweep continues. Account Health remained healthy with zero policy violations across all categories and zero defects on the trailing FBA orders. Account Health Assurance enrollment active. No carry-over compliance work into August. The EU marketplace hijacker activity (Amazon.de) is being addressed via the standalone Hijackers Audit and Amazon Brand Registry, not as an Account Health item on the US account.

EU Hijackers AuditUnauthorized sellers on FoxFlame listings, Amazon.de
Active Enforcement
FoxFlame operates on Amazon US only; there are no authorized EU sellers. Every third-party offer visible on Amazon.de listings for FoxFlame products is unauthorized. Initial audit for July covers two products: Metal Solar Torch (FFMST1, 8 sellers) and Metal Solar Lantern (FFMDL, 2 sellers). Pricing on both listings is clustered tight (€185.56 to €186.26 for the torch, €222.43 to €222.54 for the lantern), star ratings are consistently 1 to 2.5 stars, and multiple sellers show "0% positive over last 12 months", signature counterfeit-seller patterns. Most are Turkey-origin per storefront traces. Path torches, Bluetooth speakers, and other lantern lines are also known to be hijacked; full multi-product scan is in progress.

Note: The Metal Solar Lantern listing shows only 2 offers, meaning FoxFlame branded demand on Amazon.de is being fulfilled entirely by unauthorized sellers. The brand receives zero revenue from this German-language SKU while unauthorized sellers capture the entire demand.
Enforcement path: (1) File Brand Registry test-buy takedowns for each ASIN. (2) Use Amazon's Report Infringement Portal on the counterfeit sample once received. (3) Evaluate FoxFlame's own EU seller presence as the structural fix, since counterfeit sellers are currently filling the German demand pool the brand is choosing not to serve. (4) Expand the audit to remaining product families (Path Torches, Bluetooth Speakers, other Lantern lines) once the Metal Torch and Metal Lantern actions are in motion. Standalone audit document lives at Operations/Brands/FoxFlame/Reports/Audits/.

URGENT

Land the end-of-August stock wave and clear the E12/E26 bulb outages

Two bulb SKUs are effectively at zero (FFCLB1_4pk, FFMLB1_2PK) with 461 and 320 units in transit. FFCLB1_2pk is at 1.3 days with 300 inbound. All three are actively burning ad spend against zero conversion capacity. Track check-in dates daily until they land, and expedite any leg that slips. The new warehouse Chris is implementing is the structural fix for the late-month pacing gap that produced these outages.

Hold the ranking push through August, scale back to target TACoS in September

July's paid ranking effort is the strategic investment: expect the organic-conversion payoff to start showing mid-to-late August. Continue the current portfolio structure and spend levels through August. In September, once the ranking gains stabilize, scale back to target TACoS around 12% by cutting the highest-ACoS non-hero portfolios (FFSSL1 at 43%, FFSHL1 at 65%) while keeping the ranking gains locked in.

EU hijackers audit and Amazon Brand Registry action

Amazon.de listings for Metal Solar Torch (FFMST1) and Metal Solar Lantern (FFMDL) currently show unauthorized third-party sellers, most from Turkey, selling counterfeit products. The standalone Hijackers Audit document details the 10 sellers identified across the two products. Next step is filing Brand Registry test-buy takedowns and evaluating whether to activate FoxFlame's own EU seller presence to close the market gap that unauthorized sellers are currently filling.

Investigate the July operations one-offs

July's P&L shows a $1,289 "Compensated clawback" (June was +$56) and FBA inbound convenience fees more than doubled to $1,855. Together they cost roughly $2,236 of margin that isn't tied to the ad or ranking strategy. Pull the specific charge details from SellerBoard and Seller Central and confirm whether either recurs in August; if either is a policy issue, file the appropriate reimbursement claim.

New product launch prep continues

The new products confirmed with Chris for the next 60 days enter launch prep this month. Prepare listing copy, imagery, and launch PPC structures in August so each launch lands with the stock wave rather than after it. Sequence launches by expected margin so the cleanest ones anchor the September mix.
