August 2026 was a heavy investment month for Alamo Apparels on Amazon. Revenue grew 37.0% month over month to $48,311.24, driven by a deliberate scale-up of advertising behind SSA35. The account closed at a net loss of $6,640.89 on a -13.75% margin, down from $607.90 in July, with TACoS rising from 13.97% to 29.45%. Buy Box held at 99.49% and the refund rate improved to 8.63% from 11.75%.
The primary driver was advertising spend nearly tripling to $14,225.88 while conversion fell. Sessions more than doubled to 43,910, but unit session percentage dropped from 5.72% to 3.59%, and organic revenue declined 9.6% in absolute terms to $22,076.83. SSA35 carried the loss at -$8,781.27 on a -47.36% margin, and with 86.1% of its revenue arriving through paid placements the product is not yet ranking organically.
SSA34 remained the profit engine while SSA35 testing began to show efficiency gains. SSA34 delivered $20,292.97 on 649 units at a 12.22% margin, contributing $2,479.96 in profit, the only major line in the black. SSA35 sales rose from $3,219.08 to $18,540.05 and its portfolio ACoS improved from 77.75% to 60.48% even as spend rose from $2,051.29 to $9,652.02, the clearest signal yet that the targeting tests are working. Account Buy Box strengthened to 99.49% and the refund rate fell from 11.75% to 8.63%.
Spend scaled faster than conversion across all three test lines. Ad spend rose 188.7% to $14,225.88 against a 37.0% revenue gain, taking TACoS to 29.45% and account ACoS to 54.23%. SSA35 closed at -$8,781.27 and carries the account loss on its own. Organic revenue fell 9.6% to $22,076.83, so the entire revenue gain and more came from paid, moving paid share from 30.77% to 54.30%.
Inventory arrival and the conversion gap. SSA35 stock is due in Dallas this week and SSA34 is returning to stock, which should let both lines run without the constraints that shaped August. The test programme continues through September and October before a final call on SSA35. The metric to watch is unit session percentage: at 43,910 sessions traffic is no longer the bottleneck, conversion at 3.59% is.
August is the highest revenue month of the trailing four at $48,311.24, ahead of May's $60,322.32, but it is the only one of the four to finish in loss. Profitability has declined in each of the last four months, from $5,052.27 in May to $2,463.66, then $607.90, and now -$6,640.89. Trailing months are shown for context, the reporting month is August.
Cost of goods at $18,534.02 and advertising at $14,219.48 are the two largest buckets, together absorbing 67.8% of gross sales. Advertising is the material month-on-month shift, up 188.6% from $4,927.87 in July while revenue grew 37.0%. Gross sales less all cost rows reconciles exactly to the stated net loss of -$6,640.89.

Reconciliation note. Every line in this table is taken from SellerBoard at parent level. Units, refunds, sales, cost of goods and sessions tie exactly to the SellerBoard account totals. Per ASIN net profit sums to -$6,604.89 against the canonical -$6,640.89. That $42.16 difference is entirely account level Amazon fees, which SellerBoard reports at -$13,185.38 for the account but allocates only -$13,143.22 of down to individual ASINs. No other line carries an unexplained gap.

* Refund cost, sessions, unit session percentage and Buy Box are Amazon-only; Walmart does not report these and they are never estimated. Units, refunds and refund rate now cover both channels. Walmart net profit includes channel costs such as commission that are not broken out as columns here. Every other section of this report, including the hero panel and the cost waterfall, is Amazon-only, so the hero will not match the All Channels total.
Across both channels August produced $53,155.70 in sales and a combined loss of -$6,809.01. Amazon grew 37.0% to $48,311.24 but finished at -13.75% as advertising scaled. Walmart moved the other way: sales fell 53.5% from $10,425.68 to $4,844.46 as its advertising was cut from $5,253.44 to $2,667.25, and the channel slipped from $143.17 profit in July to a $168.12 loss, a -3.47% margin.
August was a deliberate scale-up. Spend rose 188.7% to $14,225.88 and delivered $26,234.41 in attributed sales, up 141.8%. Because spend grew faster than the return, ACoS moved from 45.42% to 54.23% and ROAS eased from 2.20 to 1.84. Traffic quality improved at the top of the funnel, with click through rate rising from 0.733% to 1.047% on 1,827,671 impressions and cost per click falling to $0.74, but ad conversion slipped from 4.86% to 3.89%. TACoS at 29.45% is the figure to watch: advertising now absorbs close to a third of every revenue dollar.

SSA35 took 67.9% of August spend at $9,652.02 and improved its ACoS from 77.75% to 60.48%, the strongest efficiency gain in the account and the core evidence that the targeting tests are working. SSA34 spend was reduced from $1,603.23 to $853.39 while stock was constrained, and it still returned the best efficiency in the account at 38.45% ACoS.
The revenue mix inverted in August. Paid moved from 30.77% to 54.30% of revenue while organic fell from 69.23% to 45.70%. In absolute terms organic revenue declined 9.6% from $24,415.57 to $22,076.83, meaning the whole of the 37.0% revenue increase, and more, was purchased. Sessions rose 121.9% to 43,910 while unit session percentage fell from 5.72% to 3.59%. Session and conversion figures come from SellerBoard for both months and tie exactly to the parent table above.

Two stock events shaped August and both carry into September. SSA34 was inventory constrained through the month, which is why its advertising was reduced from $1,603.23 to $853.39 rather than scaled behind a 12.22% margin. It still delivered $20,292.97 on 649 units. SSA35 inventory is scheduled to arrive in Dallas this week, and SSA34 is returning to stock, so both lines should run unconstrained from September. That is the single biggest operational variable heading into the final quarter, because the September and October test results that will decide SSA35's future depend on both products being continuously available.

SSA34 was the only major profitable line in August at $2,479.96 on a 12.22% margin, and it achieved that on reduced advertising of $853.39 while inventory was constrained. With stock returning it is the clearest available route back to account level profitability in Q4.
SSA35 ACoS improved from 77.75% to 60.48% as spend rose to $9,652.02, which is real progress, but the line still closed at -$8,781.27. Holding spend steady through September and October gives the test programme clean data without deepening the loss, ahead of the final decision on the product.
86.1% of SSA35 revenue arrived through paid placements in August, so the product is carrying almost no organic weight. Converting some of the paid traffic into organic rank is what changes SSA35's unit economics; without it the line stays dependent on spend indefinitely.
Walmart sales fell 53.5% from $10,425.68 to $4,844.46 and the channel moved from $143.17 profit to a $168.12 loss at a -3.47% margin. The driver was SSA34 being out of stock, not channel economics, and advertising was cut from $5,253.44 to $2,667.25 accordingly. The channel should recover as SSA34 inventory returns. Hold spend at the current level and reassess once a full month has run on restored stock.
Account TACoS moved from 13.97% to 29.45% in a single month. An agreed ceiling for September and October keeps the testing disciplined and makes the monthly result predictable while the SSA35 decision is pending.
